Indian actress Pakhi Hegde has been honoured with the Mid-Day Powerful Woman 2023 Award at an event organised on International Women’s Day in Mumbai. Hegde is a popular actress in the Bhojpuri industry and has also acted in several TV shows. She has been recognized for her contributions to the entertainment industry as well as her social work.
Expressing her gratitude for the award, Hegde dedicated it to all women who work for the betterment of society and the country. She also shared on social media that she is making efforts to bring Wing Chun, a martial art technique developed by a woman, to the Indian education system.
Currently, Hegde is appearing in the Star Plus show “Rajjo” and is actively involved in social work. She is making efforts to introduce Wing Chun in schools and has applied to the government for its inclusion in the Indian education system.
